Identify What You Need to Heal
This is an important step to take.

Introduction
Healing is an important part of everyone’s journey. It is recommended to go through this process of identifying what needs to be healed, understanding the cause, and determining what your healing process will be. Whatever you do, please do not avoid it.
Recognize What Needs Healing
It is hard for people to recognize what needs to be healed. Even the process of asking this question will most likely trigger people and cause pain. I recommend writing down with a pen and paper on what you need to heal from. Don’t put a time limit on this process and just let it go. I would give yourself a good hour. You may write enough to make it a short documentary or you may not write much. Everyone will be different. Guaranteed that you will find something. It is rare to find someone who is 100% healed. We are here on this planet to learn, but also to heal our soul.
Tips:
1. Identify what you are scared of. It could be anything. Examples: Scared of water. Scared of getting hurt. Scared of commitment. This will be a good indicator of something that you need to heal from.
2. Do not judge yourself on what you write down. Give yourself grace.
3. Let the words flow. Do not let your mind get in the way. Let the pen just move on it’s own. Practice automatic writing.
4. Do not limit yourself. Write what you need to write. If it is a paragraph, fine. If it is 50 pages, fine.
5. Let your feelings come forth. You may be triggered. That is ok. You may get frustrated. That is ok. You may want to kick something. That is ok. I suggest you bring a box of tissues with you.
I know what I need to heal. What now?
You may recognize that you need to heal something, but it will be challenging to figure out how to heal yourself. For example: A fear of being alone. What do you do with that? You may not have many opportunities in front of you to heal that. Are you in a marriage? If yes, why did you get married? Did it have to do with a fear of being alone? Maybe or maybe not. Once you identify what you need to heal, it will be a journey to figure out how to start the healing. One way to do this is to discover the cause.
Identify the cause. Why did this happen?
There can be many causes of something that you need to heal from. It is usually trauma from this life or a past life. It can also not be as severe as trauma, but something that definitely needs to be addressed. Some causes could be:
1. Childhood wounds
2. Regret or Guilt
3. Current life trauma
4. Past life trauma
This list can go on and on. Now you may ask why this matters. It does because in order to figure out how to open the door to heal, you must find the key. The cause is not the key. However, the cause is like the locator device to find the key.
If you are stuck on identifying the causes, you could:
1. Talk to a trusted friend
2. Speak to a therapist or a spiritual therapist
3. Schedule a reiki healing session
4. Communicate with your spirit guides
5. Get an akashic records reading
6. Get a past life regression (I do not recommend a past life regression if you determine that you have a lot of trauma to heal. Getting a past life regression can be daunting for many.)
Define the Healing Process
I mentioned earlier in the cause about the key locator. The healing process is the key. You will need to figure out what process you should go through to heal. Everyone is different. Healing is something that starts when you go within. You need to determine what type of person you are and what will work for you. Take all the time you need to investigate this. It is a long process to go through. You will try and try again. Don’t get discouraged. This is a whole topic in itself. Once you get the process (aka the key), you must then use the key. This can be scary for most. It is ok and you are not alone.
Why do I need to heal? Why can’t I just bury it?
If you avoid the healing process, there are many negative consequences.
1. You will be triggered, which will be uncomfortable.
2. You will inevitably cause yourself even more pain.
3. You won’t find true happiness or peace.
Avoiding your healing is not recommended. If you choose to avoid healing, then it will come back to haunt you in this life or the next. That is a given. Avoiding will never make the problem go away. I have seen many examples of this. I have avoided my healing and it just made everything harder and painful.
Conclusion
Healing is tricky and challenging, but necessary. You will feel so much better if you go through your healing process. You will find that it makes a tremendous difference in your own life but also those you come in contact with. I encourage you to start this process of defining of what you need to heal. You won’t regret it.
